Research into a new treatment for heart failure symptoms, coping with cardiomyopathy and stress, and diagnosing cardiomyopathy in children are among the stories featured in the Spring issue of CMA News that goes to the charity's 3,000 members.

The 28-page issue also looks at working with cardiomyopathy, difficulties in deciding which patients need internal defibrillators and research into a new treatment for children with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and obstruction.  The magazine also looks at how cardiomyopathy services will be commissioned when the government's health changes come into force next year.

In the personal stories, one member talks about how genetic testing has helped her family, another talks about having to fight to keep his employment and support allowance, and another talks about the need for financial planning.
