Information on cardiomyopathy

We produce a variety of booklets for people affected by cardiomyopathy and people interested in learning more about cardiomyopathy. The booklets are easy-to-understand and provide up-to-date information on the causes and effects of cardiomyopathy.

We believe that the ability to pay should not be a factor in ensuring people affected by cardiomyopathy obtain the information they need. All our booklets are provided free of charge tp patients and hospitals.

We have booklets on:
Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy
Dilated cardiomyopathy
Arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy

The booklets have been written by doctors and nurses with input from patients with the condition. In 2009 the booklets were completely redesigned and uppdated in partnership with the British Heart Foundation. The booklets address the concerns of patients and their relatives, and give helpful advice on everyday living.

Cardiomyopathy can affect people of all ages and to assist families where their child has been disgnosed with cardiomyopathy we have a specific booklet available, Cariomyopathy in Children & Young People'. This was written in partnership with specialist doctors and nurses at the Heart Hospital in London and Great Ormond street Hospital.

We also produces information CD-roms and videos on hypertrophic and dilated cardiomyopathy.
