The CMA is holding its next information day in Belfast on Saturday, February 27th.
The all-day event is being held at the Park Plaza Hotel, Belfast International Airport, from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
The main speaker will be Dr Perry Elliott, consultant cardiologist at the Heart Hospital in London. He will be talking about the three main types of cardiomyopathy - hypertrophic, dilated and arrhythmogenic right ventricular - and their diagnosis, latest treatments and research.
The CMA's chief executive Robert Hall will talk about the work of the charity and how it supports affected families, and Dr Pascal McKeown from the Royal Hospitals, Belfast, will outline development in services for people in Northern Ireland with cardiomyopathy. See the agenda
The event provides an ideal opportunity to learn more about cardiomyopathy and meet others living with the condition.
Those affected by the condition and family members and friends are welcome to attend. The day is also suitable for health professionals, including heart failure nurses.
Attending the day is free of charge, but those wishing to have lunch are asked to contribute £10 towards the cost.
