The day is being held at The Holiday Inn, Regents Park, Carburton Street, London W1W 5EE, from 9.30am to 5pm.
The keynote speaker is Dr Perry Elliott, consultant cardiologist at the Heart Hospital in London, who will be talking about 50 years in the diagnosis and treatment of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
Professor Willian McKenna, professor of cardiology at the Heart Hospital, will be talking about future developments in cardiomyopathy care.
There will be individual sessions on each of the main types of cardiomyopathy - dilated cardiomyopathy, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy - a talk on internal defibrillators (ICDs) and pacemakers, and a session for partners of people will the condition.
CMA's chief executive Robert Hall will also be speaking about the work of the charity and how members can support it. A brief AGM will also be included in the agenda
Those with the condition, family members and friends and welcome to attend. The meeting is free, but those wishing to join us for lunch are asked to pay £10 towards the cost.
