Cardiomyopathy

This site explains the background, diagnosis and treatment of each of the main forms of cardiomyopathy using common and medical terms. We also answer the most frequently asked questions. The information has been prepared with the help of medical and nursing staff familiar with each of the conditions.

This site is for information only and is not intended for use as formal guidelines for assessment and treatment of any of the conditions.  All individuals must be assessed by a qualified medical practitioner.

The Cardiomyopathy Association operates a policy of not charging people for the information resources we provide. Our view is that this would result in some people not being able to access the information they need. We are a national UK charity that receives no funding from government and need your support to help us continue our provision of information and services to help people and families affected by cardiomyopathy.

If you find these information resources helpful please help us by

Joining the CMA and/or Making a Donation.

Thank you
