The Highlands Cardiomyopathy Support Group is a new support group set up by CMA member Maureen Semple following the charity's 2011 key contact training day.
The first meeting of the support group was held on Wednesday, September 12th, 7.30pm at The Crown Court Hotel, 25 Southside Road, Inverness, IV2 3BG. The main speaker was the CMA's chief executive Robert Hall who spoke about cardiomyopathy and the CMA's services to patients. The next meeting will be held on Sunday, May 20th at 2pm. The meeting will be an informal get together which will allow you to dicuss your own experiences with cardiomyopathy whilst hearing others speak about theirs. The group is planning to have a variety of speakers on different topics of interest to people with cardiomyopathy. The group is designed to help families find out more about the condition and meet others who are affected. Meetings are informal and refreshments are available. Those affected by cardiomyopathy are invited to come with family members or friends.
