Legal terms

As research into inherited disease and more information on how to fight cardiomyopathy becomes available, it is critical that the CMA remains in a position to help individuals and families.

By remembering the CMA in your Will, you can help to transform the outlook for families affected with the condition in the future. Naturally your first consideration should be for your family, but by remembering the CMA also, you will be making a real difference to others.  It doesn't matter how big or small your gift is, it will make a huge difference.

If you would like our leaflet about Remembering the CMA in your Will, (left), please contact Celia Blakeway-Phillips.

You can amend your Will using a codicil. The CMA has codicil forms that can be sent to you or you can download one by clicking on the form in the panel on the right.

Thank you so much if you have already made provision for the CMA in your Will. We are very grateful to you. Your support will help ensure that cardiomyopathy continues to receive the attention necessary to achieve progress in helping those affected with cardiomypathy.

Solveig Stone generously left a legacy to the CMA

Leaving a gift in your Will is a private matter, but if you would like to discuss leaving the CMA a gift, no matter how big or small, please email Celia Blakeway-Phillips at the CMA or call her on 01494 797196/ 07824 844563. This will be in the strictest confidence.

One supporter left a gift in her Will.  Solveig Stone (left), remembered the CMA with a gift of £5,000 in her Will. Her husband Mervyn said “She would have urged anyone touched by cardiomyopathy to consider leaving a gift in their Will to the Cardiomyopathy Association - to give support to families, enable better diagnosis and treatment, and promote more genetic research into the disease.”

Together, we can help families affected by cardiomyopathy.  Thank you for your support.
