Tina tells her story to the world

Tina, who has arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC) and an internal defibrillator, gave the interview for the Health Matters programme that is broadcast on Thursdays around the world.

Her four minute interview, which will cover how she was diagnosed, treatments, the effect having an ICD has had on her, and how her family has coped with her condition, will be broadcast to nations as diverse as the Congo and Afghanistan.

The station has 183 million listeners across seven time zones and broadcasts to 151 capital cities on FM.

Tina, who also talked about being a trustee for the Cardiomyopathy Association, is waiting to hear on which Thursday her item will be broadcast.

Tina was approached by the BBC after her story about life with an internal defibrillator appeared in the Guardian newspaper's Saturday magazine in May.
