Tribute Funds

“Tracy was a brilliant mother who lived for her children and they adored her.

The CMA Tracy More Tribute Fund will be a lasting tribute to her and will give our family, friends and colleagues the chance to positively remember her.

When Tracy died suddenly and unexpectedly aged just 39 in 2007, many people rallied round and gave many thousands of pounds to the CMA in her memory. I am keen that this should carry on and am sure that having a tribute fund in her name will encourage those who knew her to continue their support.” John Herriott, Tracy’s father

If you have lost a friend or loved one you might want to honour them by setting up a tribute fund. The Cardiomyopathy Association (CMA), which frequently receives gifts in memory, can help you do this.

What is a tribute fund?

It is a fund that can be set up as a lasting tribute to someone special. Named directly after that person, the fund offers family, friends and colleagues the opportunity to contribute to a living memory. Many relatives and friends find that channelling their energies into supporting a cause is a positive and therapeutic way of helping to cope with their loss.

How can you donate through the tribute fund?

You can use your tribute fund in the way that suits you best. For example you may wish to make your own contributions to commemorate special dates or anniversaries. Or you may like to make regular donations, organise commemorative events, organise sponsored events or leave a gift in your Will through the tribute fund. It is very flexible in this way.

What are the benefits of setting up a Tribute Fund?

Having a fund is a lasting tribute to a loved one. The fund can remain open for as long as you wish

You can be updated regularly by the CMA on how much is in the fund so you can watch the fund grow

You, your family and friends can aim to raise a certain amount per year or set yourself a bigger amount over several years

If you wish, you can set up a fund on-line
