A support group for Wiltshire and Hampshire was launched by CMA member Gilbert Wheeler in June 2008.
The group had its first meeting at the Memorial Hall, The Borough, Downton, Salisbury, SP5 3NB when 30 people attended. Meetings are usually held every two months at Downton or at Badger Farm Community Centre in Winchester.
The next meeting will be held at the Memorial Hall, The Borough, Downton, Salisbury, SP5 3NB, on Saturday, April 24th, at 2pm. The talk will be on genetics and cardiomyoapthy, and will be given by Jenny Roddis, senior research officer, from Bournmouth University.
Gilbert said: "The group aims to provide families affected by all types of cardiomyopathy with more information about the condition, lifestyle issues and a chance to meet others similarly affected."
