A support group for Wiltshire and Hampshire was launched by CMA member Gilbert Wheeler in June 2008.
The group had its first meeting at the Memorial Hall, The Borough, Downton, Salisbury, SP5 3NB when 30 people attended. Meetings are usually held every two months at Downton or at Badger Farm Community Centre in Winchester.
Gilbert said: "The group aims to provide families affected by all types of cardiomyopathy with more information about the condition, lifestyle issues and a chance to meet others similarly affected."
The next meeting will be on Wednesday, October 6th, 2pm at the Memorial Hall, The Borough, Downton, Salisbury, SP5 3NB. The main speaker will be the CMA's cardiomyopathy support nurse Gill Rogers who will be talking about her role at the CMA and answering questions.
