Patient events

Each year the CMA holds information days for patients and their families around the UK so they can find out more about cardiomyopathy and meet others who are affected. The speakers include top cardiomyopathy experts from leading centres, including the Heart Hospital in London.  The days are designed to give families more information about the disease, latest treatments and advice about living with the condition and getting on with their lives.

The remaining meetings for 2014 are:

Saturday, April 26th: Lovat Hotel, Glasgow Road, Perth, Scotland PH2 0LT. The main speaker is Professor Perry Elliott, professor of cardiology, Heart Hospital, London and one of the country's leading experts in cardiomyopathy. See agenda here

Saturday, June 14th: Holiday Inn, Great North Road, Seaton Burn, Newcastle NE13 6BP. The main speaker is Professor Perry Elliott, professor of cardiology, Heart Hospital, London and one of the country's leading cardiomyopathy experts. For more details, see here.

Saturday, September 20th: Hallam Conference Centre, 44 Hallam Street, London. The speakers include some of the world's leading experts in cardiomyopathy, including Profs William McKenna and Perry Elliott, from the Heart Hospital, London.

Saturday, October 25th: Maldron Hotel, Belfast International Airport, Belfast, Belfast, BT29 4ZY. The main speaker is Professor William McKenna, professor of cardiology, Heart Hospital, London and one of the world's leading cardiomyopathy experts.

Saturday, November 22nd:  Holiday Inn, Ipswich Road, Norwich NR4 6EP.  The main speaker is Professor Perry Elliott, Heart Hospital, London, and one of the country's leading cardiomyopathy experts. Agenda here

A cardiomyopathy in children information day is being held in London on Saturday, May 3rd, at the Hallam Conference Centre, Hallam Street, London. This event is being organised by the CMA with support from Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London. More details here
