Give your views on patient information sharing in the NHS

27th November 2015

Do you understand how the NHS cares and shares patient data?

As the health services’ use of technology increases, do patients feel their data will be used correctly to help improve services?  Now you have a chance to give your feedback in a special survey.

The National Data Guardian for health and social care, Dame Fiona Caldicott, was appointed earlier this month by the government to become the patients' champion on security of personal medical information.

Her role is to ensure that personal confidential data is used appropriately to promote better health and care services.

Her review team is currently conducting a survey of patient and public understanding of and attitudes towards data security and would like to hear from you.

The survey is open until Wednesday, 2 December.
