The Miles Frost Fund

1st February 2016

Following the news about Sir David Frost's son, Miles Frost, who died from hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (hcm) last summer, the Frost family have launched the Miles Frost fund alongside the BHF.

From our chief executive, Joel Rose "We welcome the launch of the The Miles Frost Fund to increase screening of close relatives of a person who has died of, or been diagnosed with, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. We believe that increased screening and genetic testing is key to avoiding tragedies such as those which the Frost family and many others have faced.

The charity exists to  provide  people with cardiomyopathy and their families information and support and to promote good diagnosis and care.

We will seek to work with The Miles Frost Fund and The British Heart Foundation to help ensure that anyone diagnosed with the disorder is aware of  the support that we can provide. We will also share our unique knowledge of and insight into all forms of cardiomyopathy and the impact it has on individuals".

If you have any questions about cardiomyopathy, call our helpline on 0800 0181 024 and we'll put you in touch with one of our cardiomyopathy support nurses. Or you can email our support nurses at supportnurse@cardiomyopathy.org
