Help improve understanding of genetic conditions

22nd August 2016

People living with a genetic disease, including cardiomyopathy, are being sought to help educate the health profession, general public and schools about living with such a condition.

The Wales Gene Park, a Cardiff-based organisation that promotes genetic research and education, wants to improve knowledge and understanding of day-to-day life with a genetic disease.

It is looking for people willing to share their personal experiences in a short talk at a ‘Living with Genetic Conditions’ educational session.

A spokesman for the government funded park said: “These sessions are well received by all our audiences, and provide an opportunity for those affected by genetic conditions to have their voices heard and to help improve knowledge and understanding among future health professionals and others.”

Travel expenses are available.
