Sarah and Marty raise over £20,000 for Cardiomyopathy UK

27th October 2016

Long-term Cardiomyopathy UK supporter Sarah Bishop has featured in her local media after surpassing an incredible £20,000 in total funds raised for us.

Sarah first contacted us six years ago, when her son Marty was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) in the womb, and was told he'd be unlikely to survive birth. She spoke to one of our helpline nurses at the time, Gill who reassured her.

Marty was born with a hole in heart but good heart function and thanks to expert care and treatment is now a happy six year old living life to the full.
