The latest edition of My Life, our regular magazine for people affected by cardiomyopathy, is now available.

The issue contains medical articles, patient stories, news about developments in care and latest research.

There’s an article from medical director Robert Hall about the importance of getting good reliable information about cardiomyopathy and Dr Will Bradlow, from University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, talks about his hospital's new patient portal designed to improve care.

Alison Fielding talks about how she uses information and new technology to take an active part in looking after her cardiomyopathy, and Jim Lyness talks about how learning more about his condition at one of our information days has helped him get back to leading a full life.

There’s also details about our new support groups in West London and Dorset, and a cardiomyopathy Q and A from Professor Perry Elliott from the inherited heart disease team at the Barts Heart Centre.

Research stories include items on stem cells and work on developing a gene treatment for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.

In the run up to our big information day in London in September, there’s a feature about what people say about our information days.

There’s also stories about our fundraisers and what you can do to help us support families affected by cardiomyopathy.
