Supporters step out for us in Great North Run

15th September 2015

Twenty seven of our supporters stepped out in the Morrisons Great North Run on Sunday, raising more than £10,000 for Cardiomyopathy UK.

The men and women took on the arduous half marathon around Newcastle and South Shields in good running conditions. Supporters cheered them on round the course, and they were welcomed at the Cardiomyopathy UK stand at the end of the race.

The runners, ranging from beginners to experienced half marathon athletes, were taking part in one of the world’s leading half marathons, which regularly attracts over 50,000 entries.

Fundraising manager Bex Noble said: "We're really grateful to all of our runners for the time they put into training and raising funds for us."

Cardiomyopathy UK has places in a host of runs around the country, including next year’s Great North Run. If you’d like a place, submit a registration form or call us on 01494 791224.
