Places still available at our Cornwall cardiomyopathy information day

26th May 2015

There are still places available at our cardiomyopathy information day in Cornwall next month.

The day, at the Best Western Hotel, Narrowcliff, Newquay, is being held by Cardiomyopathy UK on Saturday, June 13.

Those who attend can find out more about cardiomyopathy, latest treatments, research and our work in supporting patients and their families.

The main speaker is Dr Gerry Carr-White, consultant cardiologist and clinical lead for cardiology, heart failure and inherited cardiac diseases at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.

Dr Alistair Slade, consultant cardiologist at Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust, will discuss heart devices, such as pacemakers and ICDs, used in the treatment of cardiomyopathy.

Jenny Wingham, a senior clinical researcher at Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust, will be talking about support for caregivers and Robert Hall from Cardiomyopathy UK will be talking about the charity’s services for families affected by the disease.

Those affected by cardiomyopathy, their families and friends are all welcome to the information day.  Attendance is free but we ask that those wishing to join us for lunch make a £10 contribution towards lunch costs.  You can book your lunch through our shop once you have completed your registration; please note this must be done in advance of attending.
