Birm & West Mids SG
This support group based in Birmingham is for people with any form of cardiomyopathy, their family members, friends and supporters. 

This group run aims to provide a relaxed environment for people affected by cardiomyopathy and their families to hear from a variety of expert speakers and to meet others living with the condition.


Next meeting

  • Saturday 13th December – 1pm till 3pm In person
  • Speaker: Dr Tobi Soge, clinical fellow in Inherited Cardiac Conditions, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, who will speak from 2pm- 3pm
  • Please join Jayne in welcoming our new support group leader, Steph, at this final meeting of 2025
  • Tea/ coffee & seasonal treats will be available

Lapworth Museum - Getting there

Lapworth Museum is on the campus of University of Birmingham, in Edgbaston, B15 2TT.

Parking: During the weekend, parking is free of charge to all visitors on campus, and all visitors will be allowed access to the University campus to park. If you are a Blue Badge holder, please approach the University Campus via the ring road (click here for a campus map), inform the security staff and you will be allowed on site. There are a small number of blue badge spaces adjacent to the Museum.

By train: The Lapworth Museum is a 5 minute walk from University Station.
