NE Support Group

This support group based in Newcastle is for people with any form of cardiomyopathy, their family members, friends and supporters.

The North East Support Group is a warm and friendly group which has been welcoming people affected by cardiomyopathy for over 9 years.

We meet in Newcastle, but cover the whole of the North East region and Cumbria. We also hold meetings online.

The group is hosted by volunteer Denise, who herself has cardiomyopathy. Our meetings are attended by people with all different types of cardiomyopathy, some newly diagnosed and others who have lived for many years with the condition.

Between us we can offer a wealth of experience and provide valuable peer support. We regularly invite expert speakers, information resources are available, refreshments are always served and most importantly, there is time to chat with others affected by the condition. You are not alone! Please get in touch – we look forward to welcoming you.

Next meeting date

  • Saturday 29th April (2pm - 4pm)

This meeting will include a First Aid Awareness session with the Saint John’s Ambulance service. There will also be plenty of time for general discussion as always.
