Our most recent My Life magazine has just been released. Not had a chance to read it yet? Here is a selection of articles we thought might interest you.
On our cover:
Meet Holly Aldridge and her daughter Megan. Holly was diagnosed with Peripartum cardiomyopathy following a healthy pregnancy in 2012.
- Peripartum cardiomyopathy is a rare cause of heart failure, usually one month after birth; but it can occur in the last month of pregnancy or up to five months after giving birth.
- It can be difficult to diagnose as many of the signs are similar to pregnancy symptoms- such as swelling in the feet and legs, and shortness of breath.
- Around 70% of women recover one year following diagnosis (based on their ejection fraction, rather than their symptoms).

We've released our 2019 Impact report. CEO Joel Rose says:
"2019 has been another great year for the charity and I am especially pleased that we were able to reach out to more people and make a deeper and lasting impact on their lives"
