Cardiomyopathy UK’s first ever research grant round is now open for
applications.
At the end of last year we told you about our plans to start funding research into cardiomyopathy.
You can read more about that here:
Research Funding
Our catalyst grants are intended for researchers to test new ideas, develop proof-of-concept studies or gather data that could help them attract further investment from other sources.
We’re offering funding of up to £25,000 for up to two years. The deadline for applications is Wednesday 9 July.
Putting people affected by cardiomyopathy at the heart of research
The projects we fund will directly address the research priorities identified through our Priority Setting Partnership with the James Lind Alliance.
We’re asking catalyst grant applicants to involve people with lived experience in shaping their proposed projects from the start. And every application will be assessed by experts in the field and people affected by cardiomyopathy.
Becoming a research funder
We hope to award our first catalyst grants by the end of the year. And we’re working towards becoming a full member of the Association of Medical Research Charities (AMRC) so we can maximise the impact of our research.
