Stephanie

Change Maker

Stephanie suffered an out of hospital cardiac arrest 30 years ago and was subsequently diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. She initially started fundraising for the charity, and went on to take a trustee role, helping to develop the charity. The opportunity then arose to become the charity nurse, which Stephanie did happily for around five years before moving on to pursue a role as a Specialist heart rhythm nurse (arrhythmia) in Epsom & St Helier NHS Trust.  Stephanie has suffered quite a few challenges heath wise, but she remains positive and is keen to ensure cardiomyopathy sufferers have the highest quality care that they need.  Stephanie has three children who happily are gene negative for HCM.
