Paul became a trustee of Cardiomyopathy UK in 2026 after attending the Patient Conference and speaking to the Board about how he could help.
He became interested in the work of the charity when his wife, Nicole, was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy while pregnant with their first child in 2010. He believes Cardiomyopathy UK has an important part to play in helping people learn how to live well with the condition, while at the same time promoting research into future genetic therapies that could cure or mitigate the condition.
He works in IT as a project manager and has a passion for wildlife ecology and bass guitar.
