Sarah was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia 32 years ago, she still attends the late effects clinic, where after a routine echo by the clinic, she was diagnosed with HF and LVSD caused by Dilated Cardiomyopathy in December 2018. In past roles Sarah was Northern Regional Consultant for a hair and beauty distributorship responsible for influencing product uptake, sales, training and organising seminars. After the birth of her daughter, Sarah built up and ran the local playgroup. After a stint teaching Sen Children, she started a dog walking business. Sarah co runs the Cardiomyopathy UK Sheffield Support Group with Julie Taylor, together holding information and fundraiser days for Cardiomyopathy UK. Sarah has a keen interest in Cardio Rehab and is a regular participant and advocate for the service.
